Other Graphic Design Projects
My first graphic design job employment was at Youth Workshop Jenga, Kerava Youth Services.
Job title: Media Assistant at Kerava Youth Services
Projects: Marketing materials, visual identities, illustrations, music video editing, photography
Responsibilities & Key takeaways
I got to design versatile visuals and to lead processes. I managed the relations with clients and printing house. Also the job included guiding the other youth in their projects. I cherish the whole experience of the 10-month contract and learned a lot about graphic design, collaboration and worklife.
Here are the selected projects.
Print Marketing Materials
During the employment I got very familiar with print marketing materials, especially flyers, brochures and posters. I also got to take photographs and draw imagery to illustrate the materials.
The Keravan nuorisovaltuusto -logo, green banner and character art for Keravan nuorisopalvelut are designed by another artists.
Branding for a Shop
Nuorten työpaja Jengan Pajapuoti (Youth workshop Jenga’s Shop) didn’t have visual identity, so I designed an identity consisting logo and illustrations. With them I designed print marketing materials, such as an A5 flyer. I enjoyed drawing the illustrations first by hand and then with Adobe programs.
Kuulas - Visual identity for a band
I designed a logo, an album cover and a booklet inside the Kuupuutarha-album for Kuulas-band. The project was large and included many stakeholders. I took illustrative background photos for the booklet, and I had to make sure the lyrics were readable on top of the photos. The visuals were consistent, making the whole album a successful visual story from the beginning to the back cover.
The album was made in collaboration with Iris Heinsola Björn and Joona Viitaniemi. Photography by Tero Lehtinen and me.
The album is available on Levykauppa Äx: https://www.levykauppax.fi/artist/kuulas/kuupuutarha/#468720
Also found in Spotify, highly recommend to listen!
Nuorten Työpaja Jenga - Youth workshop Jenga
My logo suggestion for Jenga won the logo designing contest, and with it I continued the visuality through other graphic design materials. The colour palette of green, purple and blue was designed by another artist, so I had some guides along the way of designing.
The green banner for Keravan nuorisopalvelut is designed by another artist.
Voice for Homelessness - visual identity for an event
I designed a flyer and a poster for an event that was about raising awareness of people without homes. I wanted the visuals to have warm welcoming theme that fits for autumn.
